When I first found out I was pregnat I wanted to be able to Document this amazing journey for our little ones to see. I wanted them to know what life was like before them and the journey we will and have had since finding out. These babies aren't even here yet but I love them with all my heart and hope they will one day read this and know that.

Today was a regular check-up with Doctor Kacenga and an appointment with obstetrics. Justin was able to go with me to the regular appointment.
My weight is currently at 193. One pound up from last time when I lost one pound haha. Doctor Kacenga even asked if I was eating, I reply with yes and even more so than ever. I can honestly pack it now.
The nurse used the Doppler today to hear they babies' heartbeats. Baby B to my right side has a heartbeat of 138. Baby A to my left side has a heartbeat of 144.
Baby A moves constantly! She loves noise and I'm sure will be our little wild child. Baby B moves though I don't feel her as often, unless I lay on my right side. She's the calm one.
The doctor measured my belly at 32cm. The doctor says it'll be fun to measure it later as it gets bigger and bigger. Right now I'm not showing, though my tummy is getting harder and harder as the babies fill the space.
We spoke about delivery and what time frame we're looking at. I am opting to do a C-section in hopes that this will help to make sure that the babies and myself are not stressed during the delivery. The doctor agrees and says as we go we'll look at their development and in most cases twins are born via c-section around 38 weeks. This puts us at last week of August.
After dropping of Justin at home I picked up mom for the second appointment with obstetrics. It's the first ultrasound mom was able to attend. She was able to see the babies. Calm as could be today during the ultrasound. It was a quick appointment with the scan of the cervix and the ultrasound verifying the babies were OK. No photos today, boo. Next appointment is set for June 6 for a scan of the cervix and the growth of the babies.
Mom and I went to My Big Fat Greek Restaurant for lunch and to see pirates of the Caribbean. It was a nice relaxing day.
These babies have everyone excited, my mom especially! We went to Tucson today to get a few things for the baby shower, but some how the whole trunk was packed!
I was on a mission to get the second stroller for when the babies are bigger. I love the stroller it's Combi Double stroller and super easy for me to put down compared to others. And 35 lbs compared to normal double strollers at 75 lbs. So the stroller filled the backseat alone.
We were able to get all the tableware, a few decorations and even items for party favor! We stopped at 2 Babies R Us and Ross where momma had a blast getting clothes and socks for her grandbabies.
I've never seen so much Pink! It's so cute but so PINK. :0)
The colors for the baby shower are Green & Pink and the theme is 2 Peas in Pod, too cute for twins. Mom is working hard with the games and getting all the goddies. The baby shower is scheduled for June 18th. I'm so excited!
Today was another appointment for obstetrics. They did the normal two week scan of my cervix, and checked the anatomy of the babies.
The babies were very active today, however the tech had trouble seeing their heartbeats and their facial features, so we'll be checking that again in 4 weeks.
Both babies are weighing in at 14 ounces each, perfectly on target!
And we were able to find out they are identical GIRLS!
When the tech said the first one was a girl I thought, "Oh please let the other one be a boy, for Justin." Opps both girls, guess will be trying again for a boy later on. I'm excited though. Mom and I really thought it would be boys. Now we can buy pink and ruffles!
Justin was disappointed, of course, but he'll get over it. In fact he's secretly ok with it. We went to Babies R Us today to look around and I left him for only a few minutes and came back to find that he was looking at baby girl clothes. He picked a two track suits, one in pink and one in purple. Then complained, then complained again, "Why do they do this to me?" as he came round the racks with two more adorable matching Pink & Purple Outfits.
Him being the cool daddy even got the girls pacifiers with their names, Olivia & Ava.
Oh their names! Olivia Marie Lamb & Ava Danielle Lamb. Olivia (Marie- Grandma Lamb) Ava (Danielle- Justin's brother Daniel & my Sister Danielle) But as mom and I spoke both girls actually share my sister's name, Danielle Marie. I'd like to think Ava is a way of saying my grandmother's name, Auriela.
I'm excited can you tell?
Yes we have worries. TWO GIRLS, that means: Make-up, boyfriends, bling, prom dresses, weddings, oh geeze.
